What does “research use only” mean?
“Research Use Only” (RUO) means products are sold exclusively for scientific, laboratory, and academic research. They are not approved by the MHRA for human consumption, therapeutic use, veterinary use, or cosmetic application. Under UK law, selling compounds for research purposes does not require MHRA authorisation, provided no health or medicinal claims are made and products are not marketed for human use.
Who can purchase from VeridianLabs?
Our products are intended for qualified researchers, scientists, laboratory technicians, and academic institutions. You must be 18 or older and confirm products will be used in a controlled laboratory setting for research purposes only. We reserve the right to request proof of research affiliation for orders above certain values.
What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and where do I find it?
A COA is a document issued by an independent analytical laboratory confirming a compound’s identity (via mass spectrometry) and purity (via HPLC). Every product has a COA downloadable from its product page. Our COAs are issued by a UKAS-accredited third-party laboratory — not our suppliers.
Are research peptides legal in the UK?
Yes — the majority of research peptides we supply are legal to purchase and possess in the UK for legitimate research purposes. They are not scheduled under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 or the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016. Their legality is contingent on being sold and used strictly for research, not for human consumption.
How are products stored and shipped?
All compounds are stored in our pharmaceutical-grade freezer at −20°C with daily temperature logging. Products are dispatched in insulated thermal boxes with pharmaceutical ice packs. We use Royal Mail Tracked for standard orders and DPD for larger shipments. Orders before 2pm on working days are dispatched same day.
